Voir Dire makes electronic group polling available to clients. Every mock juror or focus group participant is given a hand held digital responder. By turning a dial or pressing a button, we can get real time responses to all elements of a trial or case. We can compare pre- and post-trial attitudes. We can graphically show the ups and downs of arguments, assess the utility of evidence and exhibits, and analyze the credibility and effectiveness of key witnesses and attorneys. Moreover, these measures can be broken down by important demographic indicators.
This system has worked well in the time we have been using it. At strategic moments the trial stops, and we get a read on certain arguments. Throughout the trial, as attorneys are making their case, the dial system is used to calibrate how persuasive arguments are. These calibrations are overlayed on the actual video of the trial so that clients can see, in real time, how effective attorneys and witnesses are to our jurors.
